1. Native AI in ERP – fabAI becomes the core
The most significant step in v4.0.0 is the native AI integration. Prompts can be created, managed, and reused as standalone objects. A chat history stores conversations directly within the system – ensuring full traceability and compliance. Also new is AI agent orchestration, which allows multiple agents to be operated and controlled simultaneously. The Enterprise Performance Hub provides a complete overview of all running agents and their utilization at all times.

2. Two Mobile Apps – ERP Processes on the Go
With fabular 4.0.0, the app ecosystem is noticeably expanding. The Shop App now runs on iOS and Android, and push notifications can be sent directly to app users. In the fabular app, audits can now be conducted and saved offline – completely without internet access. As soon as a connection is re-established, the data synchronizes automatically. Ideal for use in the field, in the warehouse, or in production.
3. IDW PS 880 – Certified Accounting
As of May 2026, fabular is officially certified according to IDW PS 880 – the authoritative standard for proper accounting software in Austria and Germany. This means fabular can be used as an official accounting system, and standard documents meet legal compliance requirements, including tax declarations.
4. Over 50 Improvements Across All Modules
Beyond the major headlines, fabular 4.0.0 includes many refinements in the areas most frequently used in daily operations. A few examples:
- Logistics: completely redesigned scanner interface, optimized for tablets, plus significant performance improvements in the weighing mask
- FICO: accurately set statuses for contract line items and clearer partner identification in the payment run
- Compliance & Audits: new mobile audit interface with photo integration and detailed information directly on the site map
- Production Planning: flexible input for cooking and preparation loss, optionally in percent or grams
