fabAI becomes an agent – live in our webinar

With fabular 4.1.0, fab4minds takes the next big step: fabAI evolves from an AI assistant into an autonomous agent. In this live webinar, fab4minds founder and CEO Harald Falkner demonstrated how agents can independently create orders, process bookings, manage pricing, and handle entire business workflows – including numerous live demos from real-world scenarios.

If you couldn't make it to the live session, you can find the link to the full recording at the end of this post. Here, we summarize the key highlights from the webinar.

Beyond Vibe Coding: Stability meets flexibility

Instead of rebuilding enterprise software in an unstructured way with AI for every application ("vibe coding"), fab4minds relies on stable, certified ERP services – such as booking logic or tax rules – upon which AI agents can safely operate. Falkner’s analogy: fabular provides every single piano key, while the agents compose the music. With fabular 4.1.0, all platform services can be remotely controlled by agents; thanks to OCR indexing, fabAI can also "see" documents and receipts.

Webinar highlights at a glance

1. Agents in everyday work

The majority of the webinar was dedicated to live demos of agents already in use:

  • Meeting Minutes Agent: automatically summarizes meeting transcripts, links them to partner data, and saves them as PDFs, including action points
  • Lead Finder Agent: scans the internet daily for suitable prospects and delivers them directly into the CRM
  • Order Agent: reads incoming orders (PDF, photo, email), automatically creates orders, and checks prices against guardrail rules – including built-in protection against prompt injection
  • Accounting Agent (FIBU): executes bookings and monthly closings via natural language input or even by taking a photo of an accounting stamp
  • E-commerce Pricing Agent: crawls daily market prices and supports the automated bulk processing of price lists
  • Form Agent: automatically fills out PDF forms and multi-page Excel lists, learning from previously completed templates in the process

2. Skill Builder – Build your own agents, no code required

With the Skill Builder and Custom Pages, customers can build their own low-code interfaces and agent workflows without needing SQL knowledge. The permission system allows for precise control over who can use which skills and access which data – reducing security risks and the likelihood of hallucinations.

3. Governance remains a management priority

Every agent needs clear rules and guardrails that define when it can make decisions independently and when it must ask for input. According to Falkner, training and monitoring these agents will become a core responsibility for the "AI leader of the future" – and high-quality master data remains as important as ever.

4. Further release highlights

In addition to the AI innovations, fabular 4.1.0 includes:

  • expanded terms management for B2B sales, including price change simulations
  • noticeable performance improvements in financial accounting, especially for high transaction volumes
  • an enhanced mobile app with push notifications for agent tasks

These improvements were demonstrated with concrete practical examples in the webinar – it is best to follow along directly in the recording.

Outlook: fabular 4.2, 4.3, and fab Orchestra

With fab Orchestra, fab4minds is already internally monitoring the orchestration of multiple autonomous agents. For versions 4.2 and 4.3, Falkner announced, among other things, Git integration for custom agent interfaces and a future agent exchange for sharing skills between customers.

Who should attend this webinar

This webinar is designed for anyone already using fabular who wants to get the most out of the new release, as well as for companies looking to switch to a modern, agentic ERP platform. We provide a practical look at how AI agents take over specific everyday processes and what onboarding, costs, and data protection really entail.
